Hayter's utilizes open-sided barns that keep their turkeys from the extreme heat and cold, and safeguard against predators and diseases. Open sides let in a breeze from Lake Huron, providing a comfortable environment.
These birds are free from added hormones and steroids and Hayter's is the only turkey farm in Canada that raises birds and processes their products on-site. By managing every step, they can ensure the best practices for their birds, environment, and our customers.
The Sage & Onion Boneless Roast is made with the whole breast and tumbled with a perfect blend of seasonings. This 1kg roast is oven-ready. A Turkey Roast made simple! Just take and bake. The shape is perfect to slice for turkey sandwiches as well!!!
Method of Preparation
Conventional Oven:
- Remove packaging before cooking.
- Place fresh or thawed roast in roasting pan and pre-heat oven to 190C (375F)
- Cook for 1hr per kg, or until internal temperature reaches 74C (165F)
- Remove from heat and let sit for 10 minutes before carving.
Slow Cooker:
- Remove packaging before cooking.
- Place fresh or thawed roast in the slow cooker.
- Slow cooker guideline: -1kg Roast: Cook on high for 1 hour, then low of 4 hours.
- Roast is done when juices run clear or internal temperature reaches 74C (165F)
Tips:
For best results, we suggest cooking your roast from a fresh or thawed state.
