• Purchase: Choose your gift card value online and check out. We’ll send the card code to your email — or directly to the recipient if you prefer.
• Redeem: The recipient enters the card code at checkout on ButcherBox.ca. The card’s value is applied to the order subtotal (before shipping and taxes).
• Balance & use: If the order amount is greater than the card value, the recipient can pay the difference with another payment method. If the order is less, the remaining balance stays on the gift card for future use.
• Expiry and fees: Our gift cards do *not* expire and have no hidden fees — they’re valid until used in full.
• Return & refund policy: If the recipient returns the entire order paid with a gift card, the refunded amount is returned to the same gift card code and the balance remains available.
