Ingredients
- 1 pack ButcherBox.ca Angus Ground beef ( or ground lamb)
- 2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
- 3-4 green chilies, chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- to taste salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/4 cup oil
- garnish Fresh coriander leaves
Method
- Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1-2 minutes until the raw smell disappears.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and oil starts to separate from the mixture.
- Mix in the ground meat and cook until it changes color, breaking it up with a spatula.
- Add turmeric, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for another 5-7 minutes.
- Add diced potatoes and 1 cup of water. Bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.
- Cover and cook for 20-25 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the curry thickens.
- Sprinkle garam masala and adjust salt if needed. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with naan, roti, or steamed rice.
