Air Chilled Chicken Livers

Often called a superfood, chicken liver is packed with nutrients such as Vitamin A, b12, riboflavin, protein, iron, and folate, to name a few – an all-round nutritional boost!

A popular and integral ingredient in some European (pate‘), Asian (Five Spice with Peppers and Onions) and Southern (Southern Fried), chicken liver is a healthful and low-calorie nutrition source.

Our chicken livers come from free range, uncaged poultry raised with no added hormones, steroids or antibiotics raised on family farms right here in Ontario!  We believe, as do our farmers, that naturally raised is best, it is a less stressful life for the animal and results in a  premium product.

All our poultry is air chilled - this is the safest, healthiest, cleanest way to process chicken.  There is never any contact between the birds, so no cross contamination can occur.  The birds are chilled using air chambers, not water, so no water is absorbed and there is no chlorine or bleach used, as there is when chicken is water chilled.  While air chilling takes more time and is a more costly method, we passionately believe it is the best chicken you will ever taste.  This is the way chicken should be!
