Easy Chicken Caesar Wrap

A Chicken Caesar wrap is inspired by the well known Caesar salad but presented in a more convenient form. Instead of serving it in a bowl, the ingredients are tucked inside a soft flatbread, creating a meal that is easy to hold and eat on the go.

Ingredients

  • 2 ButcherBox.ca chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs or panko
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • to taste Salt and black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
  • 3 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • ⅓ cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas or wraps

Method

  1. Set up a breading station: flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in the second, breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in the third.
  2. Coat chicken strips in flour, dip into egg, then press into breadcrumbs until fully coated
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Chicken should be crispy and juicy.
  4. Transfer chicken to paper towels to drain excess oil.
  5. In a bowl, toss romaine with Caesar dressing until lightly coated.
  6. Warm tortillas slightly so they’re flexible.
  7. Assemble wraps: add lettuce, crispy chicken, and a sprinkle of Parmesan.
  8. Roll tightly, slice in half, and serve immediately.

  10. Mix whole wheat flour with a small amount of salt. Gradually add water and bring the mixture together into a soft dough
  11. Work the dough until it becomes smooth, then allow it to sit covered for about fifteen minutes.
  12. Divide into equal portions and roll each into a thin round shape.
  13. Cook on a heated pan until light golden patches form on both surfaces.
