Method

  1. Fry the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon to a paper towel lined plate.
  2. Add the butter to a small mixing bowl along with 1 tablespoon of the grease from the bacon.
  3. Crumble bacon into very small, fine pieces and add to the butter along with the mustard and pepper. Stir well to combine. Alternately, add all of these ingredients to a food processor and process until the bacon is in small crumbs and the butter mixture is combined.
  4. Spoon mixture into a dish, cover, and refrigerate until ready to use.
