Grass Fed Organic Unsalted Butter

Butcherbox.ca has partnered with M-C Dairy to source the very best grass fed and organic butter on the market.

A rich golden butter high in beta carotene made the way butter was made a century ago. For this butter we only use certified grass fed and certified organic cream which has been tempered for 48 hours to ensure a smooth texture. Additionally, our butter is barrel churned and its smooth texture is further enhanced by rolling out and folding the freshly churned butter to condition it and to remove excess moisture.

This butter is made from Jersey Cow Milk, which is naturally richer in micronutrients including beta carotene (which gives it a golden hue). Jersey milk is also significantly higher in calcium and has 10% more protein. It is higher in fat at 4.8%, however it is higher in Omega3’s than regular milk which results in it having 30% less cholesterol. It also has 15% less sugar than regular milk. Additionally Jersey cows produce A2 protein milk which some find easier to digest.
